| dc.description.abstract | This article states the results of a survey conducted of Portland area musicians and sound artists as to the extent to which nonmusical sounds affect their art. Results varied, but most musicians stated that nonmusical sounds do not greatly influence their work. The remainder of the article explores reasons for these responses and differentiates other responses from other types of artists and sound users. | en |
