dc.description.abstractThe development code change simplified Newberg's Civic Corridor s : gn code. The design standards were seen as overly restrictive and counterproductive, as they prevented the approval of some signs that appeared to meet the intent of the Civic Corridor overlay. The code change revised the design standards to better fit the existing good signs in the corridor, and reduced the number of standards that new signs have to incorporate.en_US
